Every great dish has a story… and ours began more than four decades ago.
In the 1980s, a young man named Late Shri Ram Bharose Verma left his hometown of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, with nothing but hope in his heart and a dream to feed people. In the bustling streets of Delhi, he carried chole kulche balanced on his head, going from lane to lane, serving fresh, homemade flavors to anyone who was hungry.
No shop. No fancy signboard. Just pure hard work, an unbeatable taste, and a smile that won hearts.
Years later, when life took him away from us, his values and recipes stayed alive in our hearts. We — Tej Verma and Om Veer Verma — decided to honor our father’s legacy.
In the midst of the 2020 lockdown, when the world stood still, we brought our family’s passion back to life with a new name — FOODAWAT.
The meaning? “Food is coming.” A promise that no matter the situation, our food will always find its way to you.
Today, FOODAWAT is known for serving authentic Indian parathas filled with flavor, love, and tradition. Every bite carries the warmth of our father’s hands, the aroma of Delhi’s streets, and the legacy of a dream that began on a humble footpath.
From our family to yours — the taste never stops, and the food is always coming.
